Caitlyn Jenner feels that ‘old Bruce’ still lives inside her

Caitlyn Jenner – A Life of Courage and Transformation

Caitlyn Jenner, born William Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949, rose to fame as a world-class athlete after winning the gold medal and setting a world record in the decathlon at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Despite her success, she struggled privately with gender identity from a young age.

As a child, Caitlyn was a talented athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and track. She initially went to college on a football scholarship but shifted to track and field after a knee injury. Her college coach encouraged her to train for the decathlon, which led to Olympic glory.

Following her athletic career, Jenner gained fame through endorsements, TV, and movies. However, behind the public image, she felt empty and conflicted, hiding her true self. Over the years, Caitlyn was married three times and had six children, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Though she began hormone therapy and facial procedures in the late 1980s, she paused her transition before age 40 due to personal and societal pressures. It wasn’t until 2015 that Caitlyn publicly came out as transgender and resumed her transition, receiving support from her family.

Today, Caitlyn embraces her identity but acknowledges that “Bruce” is still a part of her, especially when enjoying hobbies like racing or flying. She remains a role model for many in the transgender community. Her current net worth is estimated at $100 million.
