When She Was 5 She Had ‘The Most Beautiful Face In The World’ But Wait Till You See Her Today
At just five years old, Jare Ijalana from Nigeria became famous after a photo of her went viral, earning her the title “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.” The picture, taken by photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa, featured Jare and her sisters, Jomi and Joba. While all three received praise, Jare’s image especially captured global attention.
The photo was shared widely on social media and by celebrities, not just for her beauty but also for the powerful representation of a young Black girl wearing her natural afro. As a result, Jare’s life changed overnight.
Encouraged by the response, Bamuyiwa helped the sisters launch an Instagram account, @the_j3_sisters, which quickly gained over 160,000 followers. Since then, Jare has modeled in fashion shows, appeared on magazine covers, and become a young celebrity — all before the age of seven.
Bamuyiwa continues to photograph the sisters, documenting their journey and offering a unique glimpse into the life of a young Nigerian star.
